Buy Bitcoin Sv (Quick Start)
The Quickest Way to get started is to:
(1) Go to Rockwallet.com and download the Apple or Android App.
* Rockwallet is the official wallet of the BitcoinSvIsComing Campaign.
(2) Install and setup your wallet
2a. Set your 6 digit pin
2b. Write down the 12 word backup phrase
SECURITY NOTE: As long as you have your 12 word backup phrase – called a “mnemonic” – you can restore your wallet and retrieve your funds from anywhere in the world, on any other phone. So even if you lose your phone, your funds are secure, and available – as long as you have your 12 word mnemonic! SO KEEP IT SAFE! Also suggested… make 2 copies and keep them safe and do it on paper – protected from hackers – again, not stored digitally on your phone, computer etc…. but written ON PAPER)
2c. Go through the Authorization Process. Most people will find it simple. If you fall into the “technically challenged” category – no worries – be patient and go slowly, and repeat steps if you fail the first time. RockWallet Help Section has a lot of information to help if you get stuck. The BitcoinSvIsComing team has interacted substantially with the Rockwallet support team during our testing process. They are very friendly, patient and responsive… one of the better support teams we have encountered. If you can’t find what you are looking for in the Help Section, a quick email to support@Rockwallet.com, or opening a Support Ticket, should solve whatever problem exists. (Authorization involves uploading photos of the front/back of your Drivers License and a Selfie using your smart phone. If it doesn’t work after an initial attempt.. try emailing support. They can usually see the data on their end, and manually work it through.)
(3) Create Your Personal Paymail. A “Paymail” is a technology exclusive to BitcoinSV. It is a protocol that allows the creation of an easy to remember address, similar to an email. An example is <david@rockwallet.me>. That is the Paymail of the publisher of this site. If anyone on the planet wanted to send $BSV funds to david, then all they would need to know is that Paymail address to send them. Easy to remember, to distribute, put on a business card etc. Just as Email allows communication… Paymail allows payment!
To setup your Rockwallet Paymail in the APP, go to Menu, then select Paymail, then enter a unique identifier of your choice. If it is already taken, you will be asked to try again… same process as if setting up an email.
(4) Once fully authorized, click the “BUY” button – at bottom center of the App. Link a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Bank Account and try a minimum purchase. There are many coins listed… BTC; Ethereum, etc. When buying for reasons as laid out in this Campaign, you will want to select BitcoinSv (BSV) as your purchase asset. If you hold other Cryptos listed (BTC or ETH) you can swap those for BSV within Rockwallet.
HINT: Debit Cards or Bank Accounts work almost every time so far. Credit Cards are hit or miss. Just saying. This NOT a Rockwallet issue by the way… some Credit Card issuers have just placed hurdles to allowing people access to BitcoinSv. Let’s just say that they (Banks, Mastercard, Visa, etc) have very little incentive in assisting a “replacement technology” to disrupt their business. Usually, the fix is a simple call to your bank to authorize.
Centbee.com is another great “Savings / Holding Wallet”… but Centbee does not yet allow Georgia and other U.S. States residents to actually purchase BSV. Downloading a Centbee Wallet, along with a Rockwallet is advised so that people can practice moving and transacting. Centbee also offers some additional features such as the ability to buy Gift Cards from within the wallet, and is rapidly evolving some commerce features.

If you live in a State other than those listed above, there are wallets coming that will allow those purchases. You may wish to explore BuyBSV.com also, as they operate in some other states. You will still need a Rockwallet or Centbee Wallet to send your BSV that you purchase into.
* Centbee.com is the official secondary wallet of the BitcoinSvIsComing Campaign. It is a also our recommended wallet for super-secure “Cold Storage” of larger funds. Unfortunately, Centbee doesn’t allow direct purchases of BSV yet in the USA, but is expected to do so later in 2023.
